Attempted theft of a parcel - Axminster Crescent

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

This message is from the DWO for the West Heath ward.

I have received information from a resident on Axminster Crescent that they have noticed 2 males together outside of their address. 1 of the males have appeared to grab a residents delivery parcel located on their doorstep however upon being confronted by the resident, they have then both ran away.

The males on this occasion did not steal the parcel however due to them being confronted by the resident however if they was not confronted then we do not know whether they was going to steal the parcel.

Can residents around Axminster Crescent and the West Heath wards please be vigilant and sensible when locating safe spaces for parcels.

We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years, and we want to make sure you have had the chance to have your say. The consultation paper is available online, as well as a survey to let us know what you think. This closes on the 15 September.
